PWY1166 Ink
The PWY1166 ink is a yellow pigment-based ink designed to print on a variety of paper stocks, such as book and newspaper pages.
Heat isn't required to dry this ink, but it is recommended to achieve immediate, tack-free heat curing ink dry. This ink is unique because permanence is achieved through a two step process:
- Drying – makes the PWY1166 ink tack-free to avoid ink transfer onto web rolls or from sheet-to-sheet.
- Heat Curing – makes the PWY1166 ink permanent (wet rub- and highlighter-resistant) The temperature required will depend on the substrate, print resolution, heater capacity, and line factors affecting ink transfer. For example, with a temperature of 100 C, printed at 600×600 dpi at 30mpm on matte and gloss stocks, it should dry and cure immediately. Aqueous and clay-coated stocks will require more heat or longer cure times.
